Maryland Soft Crabs

Ingredients
Soft Shelled Crabs - 8 (cleaned)
Flour - 1 cup
Butter - 3 tablespoons
White bread - 16 slices
Tomatoes - sliced (optional)
Lettuce (optional)
Salt
Ground Pepper
Mayonnaise (optional)
Old Bay Seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Try to buy the softcrabs cleaned. If needed, clean by flipping up the pointed end of the crabs and removing the gills (the devils) and cut the eyes away. Rinse in cold water.
Salt and pepper each crab, then dredge in flour. Add a dash of Old Bay if you like it.
Heat butter in a frying pan until it is hot and starts to smoke. Place 2 crabs in the butter at a time. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel.
Eat on a sandwich adding lettuce, tomato, and mayo as desired (or eat without the bread.)
