Claudia's Pound Cake

Ingredients
Butter or Margarine - 1 1/2 cup (softened)
Cream cheese - 1 8oz block (softened)
Sugar - 3 cups
Eggs - 6 (large)
Flour - 3 cups
Salt - 1/8 teaspoon
Vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Beat butter & cream cheese with electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar while beating. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
Combine flour and salt. Gradually add to step #1's mixture beating at a low speed. Stir in vanilla.
Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
Spoon batter into the pan.
Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Check with a toothpick until it comes out clean, adjust time as needed.
Cool in a pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
Remove cake from pan and sit it directly onto the wire rack to finish cooling.
